 now i understand... wow u definitly cleared some stuff up ..

can any map work on the normal version of wc3 ROC?

TFT can run any map, including .w3m .w3x and .w3n format maps. RoC will only recognize .w3m files. So if you have only RoC installed, I'd reccommend switching your browse setting to "detailed" and look for maps that have the brown "map" image. Blue "map" images represent TFT maps (which will be the vast majority).

Oh ok...i think i have version 1.00 of wc3 ROC...how do i know what version i have?

I believe it says the version number in the lower-right corner of the main menu when you start the game.

It behooves you to update to the most recent version by connecting to battle.net or downloading the patch from ftp.blizzard.com

A lot of new features, bug fixes, and toys are available with each of several of the patches.

Also, it's entirely worthwhile to purchase TFT. It's great. (And update that, too.)

ok kewl..i dont know much about computers and i've never played a computer game before but a friend gave me wc3 and ive been addicted to it since..

my version of wc3 ROC is 1.00 so does that mean i cant play on maps that were created on more recent versions?
