Recently, i was LANing with my bros playing Azure TD, and we got sick of some little errors like the lich's attacks not landing and strength being absolutely useless, so we changed his projectile, and changed STR tomes to Damage tomes, but the issue is that when we saved it a Azure Tower Defense Fixed, a lock appears on it and it can't be seen when we look for it in WC3, I'd like to know how to fix this issue.

That..probably means your map is corrupted. Maybe you can find your last saved map at "Test", look picture

What i mean by a lock appears, is on my new comp a lock appears over the icon, and i can only see the file when i look for it via the map editor. If i were to open up the maps folder and search for it it wouldn't be there, and saving over the original map doesn't work either, as it says there is an error in doing so. I did try changing the name to blue TD, but the same lock appears on the file and it simply repeats the same list of problems.

So Azure TD is corrupt? I've tried editing it on multiple computers and saved as a different name each time, i can't understand why it would be corrupt... and conveniently i cannot attach the file as i am unable to find it in its folder when i go to attach a file. Windows search can find it only when its irrelevant lol

Talk to your system administrator and tell him that your account permissions are causing problem with the game.

This sounds entirly like your OS is not granting you security to the file. I am sure that if you log in as a system administrator and set it so that you can see all files (folder options) you will see it. In that case you will be able to manipulate its file permissions and set it to work with your other account. This is not a WE problem by the way it looks but a problem with your computer's account permission.

It is possible to deny accounts view right of certain elements. Thus when you use anything under that account the data will appear missing. If you are an administrator you should be able to see the folder and change the account permissions.

I am the comp administrator, would u mind editing Azure TD a little and try saving it under a different name, then see if it works for you, cause i don't believe people understand what my issue is. The only way i can play the edited version is via the Test Map, and the file doesn't even appear in that folder. I decided I may try copy pasting triggers and units over to a map from scratch to see if the same errors occur, but that takes a lotta time unfortunately. btw thank you all for replying and trying to help.

I do not believe you understand what your own issue is...
Your WE is saving the file with funny permissions so it does exist, but you do not have permission to access / see it.

I can edit the map perfectly fine, save the map perfectly (as a separate file) and play the saved map from inside WC3 perfectly (2+ copies of the map appear). Ofcourse by the map I mean "(8)AzureTowerDefense" which I assume is the map your refering to.

I do however use JNGP, but the symptons you describe still point towards a file permission problem (existing but not existing) rather than a problem with the newer versions of WE.

Make sure you run WC3 as an adimistrator, set your folder view options to show hidden files. This should help hopefully.

Found out the problem, both of the comps i tried this on had WC3 via the Battle.net download, and the comp i used to edit maps with had WC3 via the disk, but that comp died. I found my disks and redownloded WC3 and the maps can now be seen and played.
