I want to edit the volcano spell, I use my own custom model for the volcano, but every time I cast volcano it still makes the orginal volcano first, almost like an ubersplat or something. I even over-rid the texture path (Abilities\Spells\Volcano\VolcanoMed.blp)* for that but it still appears like normal.
Has anyone else tried to use the volcano skill and had this problem? What can I do to make the initial volcano go away. If you don't know what I'm talking about try choosing a different model than volcano.mdx, it can do it, but it will look silly, you'll notice the original volcano model has this weird habit of appearing first. Is it stuck like that forever, like how shockwave always deforms the ground no matter which missle art you use? I guess I could just trigger a volcano, but ffs the orginal volcano spell is great too, just wish it wasn't so glitchy when you try to customize the appearance a little.

Also I want to make a stampede spell, but no matter what missle art I use, the Art Special is always the default one (where there is a blood splatter and a little sound effect). I want to change it to like neutral building explosion, for a more fiery based spell. Why can't I change it? I also tried over-riding the death art wich is, (Abilities/Spells/Stampede/StampedeDeath.mdx) * Even then the original death art persisted.

Do I have to hack into the mpq itself to edit these spells? Or am I missing something? Pls anyone throw me a bone, I'll throw some rep

** Now I'm not positive that is the exact path, I didn't commit them to memory, but that is the approximate path to point you in the right direction if you wanted to have a look for yourself. When I was working with them, of course I used the right path, its just I don't have wc3 atm, im at work.
