Also when you update dis, their shields were an upside down tear you got that right, but can you remove those lines? And in the top center place a buckler there. And make the helm make it a tiny bit shorter. Otherwise I love it and I think you did a great job

Attack 2 animation is from a realistic historical point of view, wrong. He shouldn't be using his shield as a counterweight but keep it in front of him while slashing down.

HerrDave used the militia/peasant animations that's why. I would prefer animations he used for the Gondor Swordsman.

i would still love an expanded set since its not something you don't see often on hive supporting medieval east European design. Since i'd love to see a knight-class unit with the iconic masked helmet or a slavic cataphract like so

This on the pictures maybe is byzant knight. This armor (on the solder and on the horse) with little metal parts is typical for arabs but byzant take this army invention from his.

Boyar

Although it is a Boyar and not Druzhina, they wore similar equipment (usually the best available), the boyars were aristocracy and much like the western knights owed allegiance to the grand prince with military service in exchange for land.

Yes, Boyars like western Feudal Lords could be advisors to the King or in our case the Grand Prince. Still Boyars are not exempted from fighting in battles, they did fight in the battle of Kulikovo and took heavy losses.
The painting you show represents Boyar Pyotr Potemkin from the late 17th century, but that doesn't have anything to do with "never went to battle".

Boyars are also not specific only to Russia, there were Boyars up until the Balkans in Serbia and also in Bulgaria and Wallachia now known as Romania.​

So you will end up with a mesh of the druzhina model you made, the reference pic the other dude sent and the one I sent. For the one I sent can you give him the same helm and horse armor? And for the model you made can you use its shield and a spear and the rest you can edit.

Btw Herr Dave, The Druzhina was a group of men, the individual member of druzhina was known as Druzhinnik.

Nice. There is very few models compatible for Polish, Russian and Bulgarian history maps anyway.
Horsed version would be useful, because Drukhs/Druzhinniks the most often fought on a horse.

For the first, I desagre with grade of site on this work. Yes model looks easy, but useful. Here not holes in texture. In animation model back in standart poze. Not shaking or unnatural actions. Model have all standart-need animation: stand, attack, death and difrent. Disign simple, but not boring.
Grade "thumb down" - overkill.

And now for grand massege.

"новгородскава!" here grammatical mistake. The correct option is "новгородского". "За князя новгородского!" (Novgorodskogo) In the ending is gender of the one to whom it belongs. Like "ого" this for man. "ая/ую" (новгородскую) - about a woman. ("ая" use in infinitive, here difrent case)
Novgorod in russian is - man. And here use version "ого".
"ава" maybe transcription for easy spelling.

This part "За князя" writing correct.

"Druzhina" or "Дружина" not work for one man in original language, as written above. Its definition for a couple people. I'm native speaker. Correct option is "Druzhinnik" or "Дружинник". (Yes is harder spelling) But the same mistake make a million dollars compain "Games Worshop" in Total War Warhammer 3. Kislev fraction. One of minor hero in game call like this - "Druzhina". And this one model.

By the way is very сharismatic guy. And I know, it's hard work. But if you want doing something new in slavic disign - it's looking awesome. (I sent image)

If you make this model it will blast brain!

@HerrDave , for some reason the moderators marked this one down as "lacking" so it is not popping up normally on a regular models search without having to manually click the "lacking" button.

Had a similar issue with your "Roman Infantry" pack for some reason the key words "Roman" didn't pop them up, had to go to your profile to download them, that one had "awaiting update" on it.

Just wanted you to know, not sure what their issue was, but you might want to check with the moderator team to see what else is required so your models are popping back up on models search normally again.

Again, I remain as always, a big fan of your work.
