Looking through the forums, I did not seem to find anything like a "GetTechBuildTime()" function. I know that there's a "GetUnitBuildTime()", but I couldn't find anything similar for tech research.

I’m a relative newcomer and I’m working on a map that getting research times for different tech and upgrades. If there’s no simple way to get the tech time (like there is for getting a unit’s build time), then I’ll have to just manually input everything (which is very tedious).

Ok, thanks for confirming. I did find something that did what you mentioned (https://www.hiveworkshop.com/threads/production-queue-overlay.346408/).

I don’t have much experience with programming and I’m not familiar enough with JASS, but I’ll keep it in mind.

Since you’re not deeply into JASS, the easiest is to do the manual input. Use the system you found – it already has the framework. Then:

· Open the ProductionDataRepository trigger.
· Locate the InitProductionDataRepository function.
· Add your custom upgrades using the functions provided,
exmpl.

call SetTypeIdBaseProductionTime('R001', 30)
call SetTypeIdBaseProductionTime('R002', 45)

· You only need to add one line per upgrade. It’s still manual, but once it’s done, the system will handle everything else - icons, progress bars, etc

If you have many upgrades, you can prepare the rawcodes and times in a txt file, then use a spreadsheet to generate the call SetTypeIdBaseProductionTime(...) lines quickly.
