Do global sequences tick in "ui" models?

I am trying to add a global sequence to a model based on "UI\Console\Human\HumanUI-TimeIndicator.mdx" (chaning the color of a geoset using the global sequence), but it doesn't seem to work. Maybe I am doing something wrong. Can someone test this?
