You can't. Max character amount for item description is something like 488. You can't go over that.

For abilities it's something like 980.

Oh, didnt know that Ive been used to shift+enter on skype and other "chats", I hadnt even tried.

|n is a lot safer then that method considering Blizzard even used |n.

I'd rather rely on line breaks then a space break, maybe I am wrong though.

It's not a matter of safer or not. using ctrl+enter simply inserts a literal newline character ('\n'). Not only is it just as safe, it also requires less parsing by the Warcraft III engine since it doesn't have to translate it to anything (whereas "|n" has to be converted to '\n'). Not only does it use one less character as stated above, but the tooltip in the editor also shows the line break when editing the tooltip, making it easier to edit. It also uses one less key press to type.What's a space break?

Then why did Blizzard even use |n. . .

In name-spoofing you can linebreak your name, pretty sure ctrl enter can't do that. However only plus |n has.. =)

They use "|n" because of how they implemented "|r", and "|c" and wanted to avoid backslashes.

That is actually really good to know. I'm amazed that no matter how long I've been using the world editor I still learn new things almost everyday.
