Dark Warrior

A Mercenary of an Unknown Origin that flings himself headfirst into bloodshed.

Based on footman, made mostly to test out a skill I just learned.

General Frank: Very nice model edit and nice execution. Works ingame and it's a very nice use of ingame textures. TC helm inside looks awesome.

Id he's shirtless all the time, the skin tone is quite realistic for a tannec caucasian. African does not always imply a dark skin tone, there are caucasians born there (Such as JRR Tolkien), just like there are black people born everywhere else, in Canada, the United States, etc.

Either way, kickass model. I love the helm and the axes.

I hate how people use "African" and "African-American" interchangeably. A kid in my class the other day had a report on Africa and when it came to the population section, he reported that there are about 900 million African-Americans living in Africa. I gave him hell after class.

I didn't Use them interchangeably... He was an African shaman... But after being enslaved and brought to the Americas, He becomes an African American.

It pisses me off too, But i'm sure most people just swap them up for the sake of being Politically correct ( not being a total african, but not wanting to say "Black" )

I think the model is good. But the head is really a bit too big. Just scale-er down! And the concept doesn't really fit the model. Maybe like "Dark Gladiator" or something would be a better title, wouldn't have all the historical connotations and doesn't make less sense as to the mish mash of gear types.

How does he not look African???
I think it could pass as a lighter skinned black person. (What IS the politically correct term these days anyways?)

It could pass as this too though.

African does not always imply a dark skin tone, there are caucasians born there (Such as JRR Tolkien), just like there are black people born everywhere else, in Canada, the United States, etc.
But "African American" refers to the person's race & Origin together, not just their place of origin. African American would be a black person born in the united states. Possibly North America, not sure if it'c country or continent.

Definitely not african american though, the euro fantasy dark ages gear doesn't fit with north america from ANY time period.

... And the sword is arabian...

Just Remove "African American, Slave" from the keywords, and shrink hte head a bit and you're golden.

What I heard is that the north american black people got tired of being called negros and niggers, so they told the north american white people they wanted to be called black instead. The ironic part is that, contrary to popular opinion, negro is not a euphemism for nigger. It's actually spanish for black. Just look at a black crayola pencil crayon and it will say; black • negro • noir.
