I am in need of Dark Iron icons - so I made some! Nothing too special, very happy for these to go in simple if they are deemed useful to others.
For the Peon icons, I actually morphed the original W3 Peon icon into the shapes I wanted to see and then edited them entirely by hand. These icons were made with references from screenshots of ingame models, as shown here.

Screenshots used for base, yes. The infantry is almost entirely replaced with my own work, but admittedly the Mortar and Rifleman are far less polished and still have a lot of the original screenshot content visible.

I'd happily take suggestions and criticism!
Most of these were made quite hastily and I already have one new icon and one improved variant of an icon slotted to add to / replace what I've done here. I'm still learning a lot about technique and colors / contrast, so this is a bit of a personal endeavor for me - if you're offering to alter the icons yourself, I'd have to decline. But if you have thoughts to share, I am always open to read them.
