Like the title says, this is about custom models.
Or well, it contains questions about custom models.

Since the graphic is drastically improved from ie. WC3, do you guys think it's gonna be harder to create custom models and/or skins?
Think Blizzard will make some of their own models, or release an official model-manager to the editor?
Perhaps the editor will have it's in-built model-manager?

It's probably gonna go third-party though, but let's play with the thought.

What do you guys think?

Most of the models created in general are higher quality than the war3 ones.

It was difficult to make them THAT low poly count.

Now they have free rain, I think we will actually see a large flux of good models, and a very small percentage of low quality ones.

There has already been announced that it will have a manager for converting and the other crap from normal models to make them work in game.

Depends on how good StartTools, the built-in model converter of the retail SC2 will be.
If StarTools is as mighty as I hope, then people can finally create complete models right from scratch in 3ds max or Maya, without annoying limitations of custom-made model converter scripts that "forget" half of the parameters and settings of the model.

This is a project I am currently working on:
