Custom Mana Capacity?

Hey guys

I'm in the progress of making a hero for my map and I realise that World Editor (or as I know it) won't allow me to do what I intend to do.

Basically this character has an option to take out his bow. If he does, he gets increased range and increased mana. If he doesn't, he has like 6 mana points which he uses to do very simple spells (each spell only needs 1 or 2 mana). The switch is easy, I morph the hero into his range form when he takes out his bow, and morph him back into melee form when he doesn't.

However, how do I make him only have 6 mana when he has, for example, 50 intelligence? I thought of going into Game Constants but that would affect the entire map and being a multi-hero map, I can't have EVERYONE have this little mana. I tried in Object Creator to put a max mana capacity of 10, however the game just makes the mana relative to the intelligence. If I make his intelligence super low, it would affect his damage as well so that's not an option.

Help would be much appreciated.

Awesome! SetUnitMaxState works perfectly - thanks! I prefer to morph my character because in the ranged version, he learns a different set of skills then he does in melee version.
