Custom fonts issue

My custom fonts are not appearing ingame no matter what I do.
I did try to use the jngp with umswe in the game interface. I also tried to overwrite the default one none of it works. I was trying to import avquest and iron league bold.

You can't overwrite the Warcaft 3 fonts. They're loaded before your map and therefore the normal wc3 fonts will ignore the ones in your map.
However, there is a way to use custom fonts, but only as so called "Text Splats"

But wait, how did those guys in the diablo 3 warcraft insert the custom font?

You can locally edit your font by editing it in the MPQ.
(war3.mpq > Fonts\FRIZQT__.TTF)

I know i can replace entire wc3 local data like that, but it will not show the font to others.
