Creating loading image and protecting maps

Not sure where to post this, but i need help on 2 things:
NOte, if i post at the wrong place please tell me.

1. How to create a loading image? Checked some threads but didnt help.
2. Is there a way to protect my map? If so, how do u do it, and which is the safest.

Please help and thanks!

2. There is no way to protect a map. You can however damage it enough that WE will no longer be able to edit it directly. People will always be able to edit it using lower level programs though.

If you do damage your map, I strongly advise keeping an undamaged version public or atleast giving it to trusted friends incase something happens. You should also back it up personally by using a different hard drive or a memory stick as hard drives that computers use do fail eventually. Do consider this advise, I have seen so many people who have abandoned projects due to losing the only editable version.
