I've done a bit of digging as to how to import custom models that are already made, and how to create them yourself.

I can't help but think most of what I've found is severely outdated.

I'm sure things have changed since the advent of art tools?

If you could point me in the right direction for importing and creation, that's be great.

    Thanks

The Art Tools have documentation on the creation of models. If you do not know how to use 3DS Max, you'd be better off checking Youtube or some PDFs.

As for Importing, nothing has changed.

I know my way around 3DS max well enough.

What is the best import method? Link?

I'm still abit lost on that.

I'll definitely check out art tools.

    Thanks

The documentation covers that, just give it a good read and you're set!
