Corpse explosion

Any good ways to make an auto-cast corpse explosion spell? I tried mixing Raise Dead with Kaboom, but for some reason Kaboom won't take affect. The unit I'm using with Kaboom has one Hp and -1 Hp generation, will that trigger Kaboom?

Instead of Kaboom, give the 'AoE Damage on Death' ability to the unit.
