This is old news, but I decided to share it with you guys.

2 maintenances ago the Classic team decided to mess around with normally forbidden symbols such as "@" "!" and others, but they purposely or not let slip the most important symbol relating to text modification the "|" symbol. (For those who can't find it, it is above your right-side shift key and is in the same key as your "\" symbol.)

This symbol is used in combination with the letter "c" to let Warcraft know the next words will be on color.
It can also be used in combination with the letter "n" to let Warcraft know to skip a line.

Here is how you do it!

COLOR Names
Step 1 (Chose your color)
You can find tutorial as to how to make your own color here Warcraft III Color Tags And Linebreaks

Step 2
Type it out into your user name slot. Note that you may not copy and past, you will have to type it out manually, also your name must be 4 letters maximum.
Here is what it should look like

This is what is looks like when you are online

For line breaks it's the same thing, but with the code "|n"
here is an example

Your name won't appear in the chat channels

It will be seen in your profile though

IMPORTANT NOTES
1. This is a fun trick, but should probably not be used by your main account, as I suspect Blizzard will fix/remove this once they realize how broken it is.
2. Any names using these tricks will not be addable to friends-list
3.These names may mess up custom games, especially games involving scoreboards.
4. The line break name "|n" can be a terrible tool to spam lobbies, as anything you type in the chat lobby will be preceded by the number of line breaks you have in your name
for example if player's name is Hide the lobby will read
Hide: Hello
But if player's name is |n|n|n|n|n|n|n the lobby will read

Hide:
Hello
