Is there a reason when the collision size of amphib units is 0 they still run into eachother yet when you change their movement to foot they go through eachother? I need amphib units with 0 collision. Possible?

To my knowledge this is not true. Amphibious and Foot movementtype units both retain a collision box even when collision is set to 0.

If you want the unit to be able to walk even through cliffs use the action 'Unit - turn collision size for Unit off' or movement type 'NONE'

If you want the unit only to be able to walk through other units use a windwalk ability with extreme long transition time. So the unit wont get invisible but allready will be able to walk through other units. Note that in this time the unit wont be able to proc criticals or walk through items put on the ground.

For further question, go ahead, ask :).

hmmm. it's definitely true. if you create a wave of creeps with collision set to 0 in object editor and run them into eachother the amphib units collide and the foot type creeps run straight through eachother.

Oh well, the original problem here is that Ghost (Visible) is not built to work for units with movement type amphibious..

You wont get Ghost (Visible) to work for amphibious units.

But look post #2 in this thread. If this does not fit your needs, please say what exactly you need.

The best you can do is:

When they are created give them a wind walk ability with:
-10000000 transition time
-10000000 duration
-a custom buff which has no icon and no text, so is invisible

Force them to use this ability and remove the ability. Voila!

drawbacks of this method:
-units will never crit
-units cant walk through items put on the ground
-Dont give those units another wind walk ability, it will override when used
e: probably biggest downturn is that when the buff is removed the effect ends too, so you have to redo the process..

Workarounds do exist.

For example disable the units collision and enable it when the units comes near to a cliff or block movement otherwise.
