Clash of the Footmen
A new version of Footmen being developed by Arowanna

The idea:
To me, Footmen has always been that kind of map that you just join,
but never finish thanks to the unbalance and the sloppy way it’s made.
But I like Footmen, but I’ve never played a perfect version,
so I’m going to try to make what I would consider as a “perfect version” of Footmen.

What do I think a “perfect Footman” would contain then?
Well, there’s a lot of stuff I want to add, but the things I’m aiming for now is:
- Balance
- Automatic Hero Reviving
- Footmen Frenzy Forevers’ Upgrading System
- At least 36 Custom Heroes (144 Custom Spells)
- A “Move All Unit System”
- Balanced Items (and Recipes)
- No race should be over-powered

There’s a lot more that I will and want to add, but that will have to wait.

Heroes:
The heroes in Clash of the Footmens will differ a lot for the heroes in other Footmen maps.
All heroes will be balanced and +75% of all the spells will be custom made.
In the end, there will be at least 36 Heroes, but the Alpha will start at 12.
(I will add more heroes if the map reaches any popularity on the B.net)
No hero is 100% done yet.

Terrain:
To me, the terrain in a Footmen doesn’t really matter, but I’ve decided to give it a twist.
I’ve chosen Sunken Ruins as theme. I will be using Doodads in a later version.
I will turn the whole map in to a ruin, filled with turfs, shrubs, ruins and things
alike, but first I must concentrate at the basic and the triggers of the map.

The terrain will be very plain in the Alpha version, but I hope to turn the battlefield
in to a big ruin in the later versions of the map.

Game Modes:
The current idea is to make a map that doesn’t need more than one version
for a several of game modes, such as All Random, All Pick, Classic and more.
Right now there isn’t that many modes, but as the map evolves, more modes will be available.
Information:
This is the normal game play for all Footmen maps.
All players may choose which hero they want, but they will be limited to one.
Command:
Repick will be available in this game mode.
Information:
This mode won’t allow players to pick their hero; instead, it will be randomized.
This is probably the most balanced game mode that can be “picked”,
because it wont allow players to pick the only hero they can play with.
Also limited to one hero.
Command:
Repick will be available in this game mode.
Information:
This mode is made for the people who remember the first Footmen Wars that was released.
All upgrades, heroes, towers, items and such will be removed and all that will remain will
be the starting Main Base and the spawning of Footmen.
This game mode is made for fun and to bring back memorises.
Command:
Right now, no commands will be available in this mode.

What to do before Alpha:
• Finish at least 12 heroes
- 48 Custom Spells
• Finish all the standard units
• Add items
• Upgrade System
- Both for units and buldings
• Try to finish the terrain

Editor Notes:
I’ve written this map from scratch.
I’ve used other Footmens a references, but I’ve done everything myself
and I’ve had a lot of help from the people of moding community and I’m grateful for that.

i'd Be glad to join your project and my speciality is triggers :) and also
you are welcome to join Pro.Ject a wc3 mapping group it is new and need members anyone that got some experience are welcome. :grin:
