Child Scope

Child scopes are somewhat analogous to files in a folder, where the parent scope is the folder. The child scopes are a part of the parent scope, and do certain things based on the purpose of the parent scope.

Based on that information, what can be deduced as to the purpose of the child scope is to extend the functionality of parent scopes.

P.S.:
Child scopes are not usually necessary, as they are not commonly seen in many libraries/resources.
