Hello,

is there an easy way to check in a trigger if a unit is considered melee or ranged ?
I would need this information to exclude melee units from ranged attack effects ( = orbs).

I don't think so, why does a melee unit has an acquisition range of 100 ?

I thought acquisition range is the range you become aware of enemies ?

Yes and No, To increase a ranged unit's overall range you also have to increase acquisition range. Don't know why, it's just how Blizzard made it (Check the Vanilla units).

Edit*
Nevermind I stand Corrected, Just got home and could see the editor...

I Do know for a fact changing the acquisition range to 90 does make them melee. But Yes, it also effects how far they attack targets.
Acquisition Range is a real that can be checked for.

For my WE the 'Footman' has an acquisition range of 500, but an actual range of 90.

So this does not work :/
