Greetings everyone! I am currently in the development process of a new Roleplay map. You might have seen my model request thread, and that is in relation to this!
The storyline:
For a while, the region of Saindo has been in peace under the dictatorship of the Saindo Overlord. The inhabitants of the island adapted to the lifestyle and things didn't seem so bad. The southern port town known as Saindo began to flourish and become a prime source of food. The Northern Mountains Settlement were largely untouched and the Barrern outposts enjoyed peace and trade with the other regions.
But one day, the caravans stopped...the Northern Settlement sent out scouts that did not return. One day a villager from one of the Outposts stumbled into the Capital Jon'Saindo and warned the guard. Suddenly the Overlord became strict with his rules, the economy fell into a state of disorder, and the people once more became uncomfortable with their way of life.
A few heroes however, would not stand for this...
You play as these heroes. Currently I'm still developing the story and gameplay, but the features I have planned right now are:
- Camp Creation, this allows the players to create their own small force, which will be vital for gameplay.
- Hero pets, companions for the Hero that can grow in level.
- The ability to choose your own weapons and ability skillsets, and change them whenever you wish.
- Jobs, still working on them. Will be used for gaining money ingame.
Currently working on: Abilities.
I've overhauled what I had planned and now abilities will be able to be placed onto any hero instead of being Weapon-based. Thankfully this didn't interrupt my plans and will now take me a little longer to develop.
Current ability types:
-Close Quater Combat [Finished!]
-Armour Skills [Finished!]
-Fire Magic [Finished!]
-Frost Magic [Finished!]
-Thunder Magic [In Development]
-Holy Magic [In que]
-Unholy Magic [In que]
-Marksman Skills [In que]
More will be added as I see fit or are suggested and approved.
Now I'll be constantly updating this as progress is made. But right now there will be a few key problems:
Models: Now unfortunately I might now be able to obtain all the models I want. If this happens I'm gonna end up resorting to using villager models over and over and over again, and I'd rather not have to do that.
Terraining: I'm not the best of terrainers, and unfortunately, this means that the map is probably gonna suck. Though I may be enlisting help for this, depends on how it goes.
Triggering: At best, I'm an amateur. However I will do my best and request help with triggering whenever I'm stuck.
