Chaos Blink

"A step through shadow, a breath from death."

A blink effect that glows in red and has a chaotic magic-ish theme to it, with sparks coming from behind to emphasize teleportation.

I was inspired when I was watching an anime where the character has this cool blink animations with crimson red effects. Though I haven't really captured the exact appearance, I'm satisfied with this.

Using Blink in the dark


- I recommend using these effects with triggers instead of replacing the models in the default Blink spell, because the "caster" (Art - Special) part removes the model in a split second, unable to reveal its full animation.

Caster effect disappears abruptly

- In continuation of the last problem, the same also with the "target" (Art - Area Effect) part model. Wherein the direction of the effect is set to default, and then it changes based on the direction of the caster once successfully teleported.

Blink created two target effects, with one with default facing and another with correct facing once successfully teleported.

That's a good looking variation for the Blink ability. Tested and works in-game. Review accepted by Footman16
The reason behind the visual effect disappearing instantly (without using the triggers) could possibly be because of the Warden's "Art - Death Time (seconds)" field set as 1.00 so that manipulating it may fix the problem.

Try changing it to a bigger value like 2/3 seconds for example.

Art - Death Time"? I never heard of such a field. It doesn't exist.

Ah, I see. You're referring to the unit, not the ability. But that field is for the death time of the unit itself, like if the unit dies, it will wait for 1 second to transition to decay or dissipate.

I don't think it was something to do with the blink target effect. Besides, the visual effects disappears before it even reaches 1 second.
