[JASS] Chaning units Maximum Pitch angle via Jass

Hi all. I need to know if it is possible to change a units "Maximum Pitch Angle" via triggers. Is there a native or something like that for it, so that it can be dont in a "Custom Script" Action?

there is a model that u can change the 'Pitch Roll' with and attach a model to it, but it cant display Animations

Well, i knew that you can change pitch roll in the object editor, but i didn't knew it couldn show animations... that makes everything alot more complicated : /

I believe Vexorian found a way to do it. You can make a unit's pitch roll change by doing Animation - Set unit targeting direction or somesuch. It resets if you move it via triggers though, I think.

I seem to remember seeing it implemented in one version of Caster System. I don't know. Look it up on wc3c.

I took a look at the system. Found no way to change the pitch roll... Any other clues?

No, I dunno. Muck around with set part targeting angle. In the animation category.

The problem is that i can't set the legs. Meaning his leg would run backwards...

Why would you want to change the pitch on a unit with legs anyway? A somersault kinda thing? Try it anyway. Locking the chest facing might do the legs also.

I am making a 2d platformer like the map "Soldiers" by Exilus5. It's viewed top down, so im using pitch roll to make the unit look "standing". I need the pitch roll change so that i can make my unit's face the direction they are running...

Wouldn't that just make the unit upside down anyway? Somehow I think just replacing the unit would be easier.

No, it works fine. I have already tried replacing the unit, but then i would have to edit facing angle, wich for some reason its done over a small ammount of time, even if i set it to "over 0.00 seconds" making it look REALLY stupid.

Have you tried Lock Unit Body Part Facing or whatever?

Yes, i have tried. I am trying to redo the replacing of units, and see if i can make it work, but so far, the unit simply disappears instead of getting replaced : /

Yeah... this is easier:
Export to War3ME -> Rotate the model -> Import to the World Editor.
