ok im making an aos style map, but its much much larger than dota or anything ive seen so far..

i have two questions... first.

i want to create a unit with and inventory which automatically after being brought follows the owner around.. but i want the owner to gain the benefits of the items the unit is holding....

and i want to set limits to which items they can hold..(ie: not the uber massive +200 damage ones or wat ever).

i have seen this in some RPGs a long time ago... i dont remember which one and i very doubt it was unprotected.... can anyone help me.

-im reasonbly proficient in the object editor its just the triggers..

thanks heaps

2nd is using "unit enters region" -order unit to attack-move "next region" the only way i can move troops in an AOS style map?.. is there an easier way-- or rather a less time consuming way...

Well, if you plan on having units move through seperate or complx routes, then yes, you will need to have many "unit enters region" triggers.

As for the rest, when you buy a unit, switch the ownership to a seperate, but friendly player (if you dont want to be able to move that unit). Then order the purchased/trained unit to follow the purchasing/triggering unit.

Event- unit(merc camp) finishes training a unit

Action-
unit- change ownership of (last trained unit) to (whatever player)
unit- Issue order targeting a unit (unit owned by player)

thanks for that..

but if i change ownership... doesnt that mean i would lose control of the unit as well?.. meaning i wouldnt be able to control their inventory?

and can you tell me who i can make the inventory benefit the hero and not the unit..
