Fraps or Hypercam. Both are free

Fraps only works with certain rendered things however, such as videogames, or Aero desktops, but is Much faster than hypercam, and doesn't have the stupid watermark that the free hypercam has

Looking at reviews for Camtasia, it seems that it is Not a program for beginners or people using it for limited uses. A more fitting use would be for a college professor using a graphical computer program, and wishing to show it later, or to students online.

Just because it's the best doesn't mean you have to have it.

I am guessing you will be using this for videotaping your map? No point in Camtasia for that limited use. Use FRAPS, nearly everyone does, and it is essentially the best for what it does.
