So I'm trying to mess around with the main Campaigns. One thing I thought would be cool is if you could drop the Orb of Shadows from one of your Night Elf heroes into Kael's inventory and it carries over into the Alliance campaign, Kael still having it. But for some reason, it doesn't seem to carry over from my modded maps into the actual Campaigns. Am I missing something about caches? Are they stored separately for actual Campaign maps/maybe even Custom Campaign files? This would kind of be neat because that way two campaigns can have the same filename for their cache but not interact with each other, but other than that it's actually being quite a pain.

I am fairly certain they are stored separately to prevent conflict and user tampering. Otherwise you could max out your hero level, give them impossible stats and fill them to the brim with the most rigged items available in the Object Editor.
