I am working on a Campaign and I went into the editor and made some custom campaign units but as I place them into the map they do not show up in game. On a side note is there a way to "game cach" buildings a player built so they can say make a town/base then leave to go on a mission and come back to the same base?

Judging from your game cache question, this campaign is going to be of a open nature, so you can go back and forth between maps? If so, have you imported all the custom content (models/skins etc...) -if you used any -from the original map to the others? It's no good just importing the unit/object data.

I'm pretty certain by storing regions and the buildings and running some seperate triggers at map initilization, the latter is possible however I've no personal expierience with the game cache so can't give you any insight onto exactly how it might be done, sorry :bored:

Hope that helps, somewhat.

Yes it will be of "open nature" but I am only working on my first map for it and with no custom models my custom campaign units are not showing up when I test the map. I put a reguliar priest "in the mix" however and it worked fine.

You can use custom models but just make sure that your paths are set correctly. If your using models with skins the path is usually textures\name.blp and for the mdx one you can leave it alone. Try doing that to some of them and see if it works then. Also after you change the paths make sure you restart world editor.

Okay thanks I will try and see how to fix it.

P.S check your dragon age thread!

Edit: I tried simply changing the hp of a unit in the campaign editor but as I placed it on the map and tested it the "change" did not work. In the campaign editor the units are blue and it tells me they are not used or some thing. Does anyone know what this means?

Edit: Sorry for double editing but I think I solved the problem. I did not even test it properly, but now it is fixed thanks for the help. So you both get +rep!

a third Edit: Sorry Lev but I can not give you rep yet!
