[General] Campaign Game Caches and GUI spells lag

I'm putting some unique spells in my campaigns done with GUI (cause I have like zero knowledge in JASS.)

Can they cause heavy lag combined with variables that count units with most kills? I also want to make a system that gives experience to units and saves like 5 of them for later maps.
As much as I know, the GUI can cause a lot of lag, I've also experienced it a few times. The campaign already makes lag when it loads the high-poly models.

The kill-counting system was a just an idea and it's not very important. Maybe it's just unpredictable and a difficult question but I'd like to know if it worths being put in the mod.
