Calculation and ability help

Does anyone know how to calculate the attack speed of a unit? I only see projectile speed in the world editor.

How can I set an ability to be activated after I upgraded the structure? I want my faerie fire to be activated after I upgraded my tower but not manually right clicking on it. Can it be done?

the attackspeed is 'combat - cooldown time'
what do u mean with calculating the attackspeed?

to detect a finished upgrade => events: generic unit event => a unit finishes an upgrade
