Build Icon Problem

How to Change the icon of the Structure Build icon ?
co'z i tried to change it, but it woudnt..
i change the path in Import MANAGER and game interface Icon-Command into :
ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtons\BTNBasicmonsterbook2.blp
ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtons\BTNHumanmonsterbook2.blp
ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtons\BTNNightelfmonsterbook2.blp
ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtons\BTNUndeadmonsterbook2.blp
ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtons\BTNOrcmonsterbook2.blp

- But Nothing happened.. :goblin_cry:
the icon does not change.. it remains Undead build icon!
what will i do?
can you give me some picture or an examples about how to solve this ? :ogre_frown:

And I cant seem to understand your problem? What do you mean by that? What are you trying to replace? The Build Icon for each race? If yes, Hera has answered it :b

  • Untitled Trigger 001
    • Events
      • Unit - A unit enters Region 000 <gen>
    • Conditions
    • Actions
      • Special Effect - Create a special effect at (Center of Region 000) using Abilities\Spells\Human\ThunderClap\ThunderClapCaster.mdl
or you could use this for attaching to unit:

  • Special Effect - Create a special effect attached to the overhead of (Triggering unit) using Abilities\Spells\Other\TalkToMe\TalkToMe.mdl
But dont forget to remove them through this:

  • Special Effect - Destroy (Last created special effect)

can you give me some instruction on how to import a spell and how to use it?

can u help me by giving some instructions ?

Download it, open the map in World Editor and copy the triggers used and paste it at your map. Include also on copy/pasting objects in Object Editor to be sure nothing will be missing in the trigger also you must turn on Create Unknown Variables first so copy/pasting of trigger will work.

Of what exactly? A map with a imported spells? Just download spells from here and put them at your Map Folder.

No you dont need to go there and spells here in Hive are in w3x format because the spells are in a test map, you just need to copy/paste the trigger used to manipulate the spells in the test map itself.

To give you an exact info:
  • Download spell here in Hive and put it in your Maps folder
  • Open that map in World Editor and go to the triggers
  • Copy all the triggers that are related to the spells and required to make the custom spell work
  • If possible, also the custom units, abilities, and buff used in the spell, copy them all too if there are
  • Now put them in the map and see if they work

Additional Note:
  • Make sure you have the "Create Unknown Variable turn on so when copy/pating map. variables will work properly in the map.

i dont know how to transfer spells. ability to a Region (For TD map)
