I want to use generic auras, such as Brilliance, Command, Endurance, etc... But I don't want the buffs to appear in the status bar. I know that there's a way to bypass this - I just can't remember where I saw it.

I tried with upgrades, but I can't set the values to percentage, and not stable amounts.

Explanation and example would be nice.

Well, I basically need things that will be global - meaning that spells will be there as long as the hero is alive. Since I allow only one type of hero per map, I guessed that there was a way to bypass buff icons.
About the black square: I tried - other buffs can ruin this whenever the Aura buff is between two others, leaving a blank space.

So, basically, Movement speed aura, Attack speed, Attack damage, Spell Resistance, Spell Resistance Reduction (enemy), and pretty much all reversed of those. All are in percentages.

Is this going anywhere now?

Trigger the spell. make your own custom spell. use timer.

movement speed - SetUnitMoveSpeed function
attack speed - item attack speed bonus
spell resistance - item spell damage reduction
spell resistance reduction - negative value item spell damage reduction

this way you can manipulate your spell almost everything.
