So, it appears i am on a bit of a halo streak right now. Next up is a bubble shield.
This is meant to be used as a ward, spawned in similar to the stasis trap or sentry ward. It lasts for a set period of time, during which it provides a large armor bonus to units in a radius.
PLEASE note that the model looks completely different ingame as to how it does in magos model viewer, due to tail particles and how additive materials are handled differently ingame from in the viewer.
There will be an item version of this coming up soon - perhaps as an alternate animation to this.

Yes! Since wc3 does not support rim lighting, i made my own rim and added it to a billboarded plane to make the edges of the sphere look shiny. Cool huh?

Well you could use backfaced polygons to create that effect. Bilboarded plane sure would cost significantly lower amount of polygons, but (to me) it doesn't look right mainly because the texture looks 100% identical in any angle of view.

The original is golden , but blue one would be cool and would fit a Covenant Bubbleshield

In the viewer, the rim lighting billboard does not spin, I wonder if this spins in-game?
