People, stop complaining about icon recolor. If you really cannot understand it, ask somebody who knows about icon recolor, even moderators. Icon recolor is actually acceptable, so stop complaining it, people!

Yeah. The problem is, most people can do that. So instead of filling the icon sections with just recolors, I think home-made recoloring is encouraged.

It's not forbidden to post recolors BUT I have read some of the icon submittion rules and it says that icon recolors are allowed ONLY if proven to be VERY useful. This one looks too straightforward and not very intriguing. Don't know if it will get approved.

I thought the same thing. People need to be aware that that this icon was created by Blizzard, and you can recolor it in some forms you would like to do, and needs to be credited by the Blizzard Ent. and could go approval if all goes well. No one, i mean "NO ONE", should ever complain about recoloring the icons. Period.

why would we approve a icon that takes 5 minutes to create? lol
step 1: google the image of the original icon
step 2: open it in photoshop and then change color balance to something else and then save as TGA
step 3: open the TGA file in blp lab and convert to blp
But.. Button Manager can do it in a minute.

This icon is under Blizzard so you should have put it there and even recolors are allowed, many would prefer the original due to this having not much difference with the actual icon while other recolors can prove useful at some cases such as an Iron Forged Sword being recolored to a golden one, it could prove useful because that can be used as a new kind of sword while this, I have never seen a violet horseshoe. Try recoloring it into a golden one and it might serve more use to many.

A tip, if you are to recolor an icon, make sure it will be also useful and also think of the color you are about to recolor it with... will it result to a new product or to a weird object that will not serve any purpose or use?

I think it's a bit useful. I mean, it could be used for a Death Knight or a death knight unit, like maybe "Death Horse War Training" or a skill. It's still useful.
