Well, it's obviously rather simple. I could recommend you details, but they'd require complete reworking and I don't want to demand that.

I like the surface dude!

It's really nice, gives it a nice scratched metal feeling. The reflection is pretty neat aswell. Though one thing to make it look more like a shield You would have to make it more round if You know what I mean. This could be done using the warp tool in Photoshop CS 3 and above. Overall pretty nice.
