Quite good, both the object and the effects suit my liking, though the arms seem to be a bit weird.

Both of your icons somehow remind me of the icons used in GuildWars although the look old, ehm, like an old style of painting, such as one could see in wc2 or something like that.

Anyways they both look sweet! +rep for 2 neat icons

I really like it, but as said before, the arms look wierd. You don't hold a sword with absolutely straight arms

Also, i think there's too much contrast between the background and the... red guy.
