BTNSnowyGlaive

A snowy/Haily/Icy Glaive, forged by the evil cold Dwarfes from Antartica (or something). Made as a request by "Animoi666".

I feel like something is a bit weird/wrong with it, but can't figure out what is missing, if you find it, you're more than welcome to tell me:)

Credit me if you use it in a map.

Feedback is appreciated. Still in the process of learning.

Updates:

Fixed a lot of shading and highlighting, (thanks to Nfwar). It's no way near as good as yours, but it is way better than earlier.
Reduced some of the over-used effects.
Redid the whole icon, hopefully in a positive way.
Added a minor handle.

This looks like stone banana with blue light <.<

I made a small wips here. Meaby this will help ya.

steps:
1. creating the main shape
2. making main lines
3. basic shading
4. more shading, stronger shading
5. more shading with lower constant in dark areas
6. defining dark side with color (new light source or effect)
7. coloring the blade, more progress with 6th step
8. some shading on thin areas
9. BLOOM effect (created menualy on new layer. effect is some brushes with white transpared 30% color and fixed with smudge, erase)

Thanks a lot NfWar, that is really helpful, I'm having a real hard time with shadowing/highlighting objects of metal. I really appreciate it. Thanks :)

Fix that black corner and it'll be nice.
