I think you resizing algorithm is not the best. The sword looks like cnped onto the background with exactly defined borders. I am not saying you cnped, heavens no. Its just that it looks like that. As if you defined for every pixel wether it shows sword or background. Try maybe to blend it a little bit into eachother.
