They look too thick to be strings, anyway you should just remove them or upload a second variation.

The main problem seems to be that there's too much glow(or rather too accentuated) and not enough texture.
Especially on the brain since that's the main focus of your icon.

Also you might want to tweak the brain proportion a bit.
It seems slightly smaller than it should be.

The hand looks fine though
