Apheraz Lucent: When I think of a cut watermelon, I imagine a shape different than yours. This is plain and not catchy, it reminds more of a pizza slice. It's a WATERmelon, which consists mostly of water - your icon lacks some shine and looks dry and old. When I take a deeper look, the whole icon looks very dark: it should be fancy and bright, mostly attractive, as it describes an edible object. Try with different angle for rotation, as the current one is way to straight and not so pleasing.

Rejected until updated.

To square at the moment, try making some bite marks in it, would add a nice touch.. Also, i would zoom into the melon itself to bring more contrast and details upfront of the icon. I would tilt it sideways then zoom in from there. Lastly, i would trim some of the edges of the melon, as it has very sharp lines.. most melons that are cut like that don't have fine lines like this.
