Back in the old days when i started making icons i made this http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/icons-541/btnfeaturesword2-151755/
So now i want to create something like a set of future weapons. More will come :)
But you can use it as what you wish :)

Neat update, but I think that you should reconsider of adding another dimension of shadows to the mace, currently it has rounded shading, while the cube objects have nearly same shadow tone at complete sides, growing stronger with sides that are further away. You can keep it this way, but add new shadows only.

I believe what Apheraz is trying to say is your hammer has the shading of a round object, though it is not round. Also, you got barely any shading at all on the front of it, and it is very shaded/darkened at the back. It looks a bit odd.

I myself also believe you should try to switch the glow to blueish/yellowish. As it would look much more "futuristic" than a green one, which gives us the impression of nature, rather then tech.

Red on the details on the hammer might look good as well. Anyways, try out some other color schemes, you can post them here for our opinion if you'd like to as well.

At first I was dissapointed that you removed the green lines on the hammer head, but then I realized that they make it look like it is splitting apart from the inside...haha!
