I can kind of see the fish, but I honestly wouldn't have known what it was if it wasn't for the title lol. Still has room for improvement, but better than your previous icons. Do you mind posting the big WiP? You should make it a habit to just always have it posted.

It looks as if you created it using an outline, the fish shape, and two different gradients and that's it.

Please note that Hive is very aimed for artistically warcraft-ish and freehand icons.
