Dunno what to say...

I had a some time off from my other stuff and decided to make a planet icon.. Mostly with the thought that it could be used as some kind of upgradeable planet in Sci-Fi maps or similar. :hohum:

The icon is made completely from scratch, although I used lllLSDlll's Icon layer to create the borders.

Should someone ask for proof of creation I do have the entire PSD file with all layers used (and of course in a larger size ).

Enjoy it

Considering if I should upload my other free time icons, but thats for another time.

EDIT: Updated how the icon appears.. More shading and tried to make the effects on the picture appear better on the small version.

Added a asteroid ring around it - As per suggestion.

It looks good. I think it could be improved, though. Hard to say how, but maybe a bit more shading is needed. Btw, what is it ment to represent? :)

A sky covered planet... An icy planet.. No idea.

I imagined that some could thing of it as a planet seconds before a big beam of light hits it (You gotta think creative for that one).

Others might just think of it as a random planet in space..

Happy you both like it though - Makes it more likely that I'll upload my others some day.

Looks good but the shape is a bit lacking, or how the shading doesn't really make it looks rounded. Re-do the shading too make it looks 3-Dish and add more detail and maybe some stars in the backround and you will have yourself a great planet.

Actually it has all that - And the 3D appears nice. But it is only on the large one... You can't see them on the small version

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Try looking at it for some time and it will get more and more 3D

WOW! I spent my 2000th post here?! Damn

Thanka AMP

needs more shading on the planet, + its kinda blurry
well
3/5

Both due to the size - But I might consider making the shade larger... (as said fine on the larger version)

It looks more like a coin and i can't see those islands very well. But it's still nice.

Thanks, and yea I also wish they could be more clearly defined in the small version:bored:

Nice icon, but maybe give it more value and shading so it does not look flat, but overall 4/5 ;)

That is gonna be great ^^ I do not care much about the delay, the map i'm using it for is 3 years old already lol... Just let me know when you're done :). Also i already have the Sun and another planet to make up for it for now.
