You need to work more with your lighting a bit more to help it give that 3D feel. And this is just me, maybe make the handle more thin.

- Could use a longer spikes, because your trying to kill the enemy not Paper-cut it.
- Add a SWOOSH Effect behind it so it can be used ain both cases item(Morning Star\Chained Mace) and abillity (I ODnt Know WHat to call it maybe attack)

Try applying some harsher contrasts, and use less brightness aswell.

Really nice positioning and all... just a bit... blurry, the ball. Or maybe it lacks a little contrast? No, it has contrast... I don't know.
