My first tryout at making Icons for Warcraft 3. I'm aware that it'll take awhile for me to understand the proper way of creating them. I'd appreciate any kind of feedback and suggestions.

You need to practice more, so I will reject this icon. You should try showing your drawings to people in the chat or in the art forum, and get critique, and let them tell you when they think you are ready to upload an icon.

I think it more looks like an enchanted dagger rather than a sword.

My suggestion would be to work on the flames, it looks a bit strange. And while you're at it don't forget to upload an ATC version as well, increasing the chance of it being more useful.
