The concept; making an icon for balance, is quite original and I really like the idea. There's much to improve though. To start with, maybe you should try to make the wood more detailed, as well as the ropes. I suggest trying to change the colours a bit giving it more contrast, as well as drawing some details on it like wood fibres and such.

It's quite good for a second try though, keep working on it please. =)

I was about to make such an icon, I feel that it's really needed. I think you should define it more, although in the dimensions of 64x64 size, it looks really good. The stick on which eveything lies on is too simply made. A good thing is that it feels Warcraft, so good job on that!

Nice idea, all you need to do is to define it more and to brighten it up, maybe add some nice details.
