To obtain a skin to edit you must extract it from the .mpq file. Use Warcraft III Viewer's Treeview>BLP tool to browse to the texture file you wish to edit. Right click the file and select: Extract (and convert) BLP. Save the file and begin your editing process.
it dosnt make any cents to me im not good with computers at all and its all counfusing to me....i dont even know where to get a TGA or where to down load it
.tga files are images: they are only one among many formats that computers use to display pictures or photographs.
Other types of image files include:
.bmp
.gif
.jpg
.png
.tga
.tif
There are many other file formats, but those are the most common. Warcraft III uses the .blp format for its images and you must convert them (using Warcraft III Viewer) into either .bmp, .jpg or .tga to edit them.
As you learn how to work with, manage and edit images with your computer, you'll discover just how easy it is!
