Blood Elf Death Knight v1

I didn't post models for a long time. I have serious health problems and I continue to learning 3D modeling. I present to you no-name blood elf death knight which I started making a long time ago, but only recently decided to finish it. I hope it will be useful!

1) Reduced size of 5 textures
2) Removed useless parts from portrait
3) Removed useless animations from portrait
4) Changed icons

Very beautiful and the execution is awesome. APPROVED and RECOMMENDED ! For HIGH QUALITY, I'd request to add Stand/Spell Channel and Spell Slam animations

One of the armor diffuses is a bit too large (5.33MB!), please resize it down to 85%-90%. In Portrait 4, the hand clips through the helmet; if you can't fix it, please remove it instead; and as usual, remove anything below the chest in the portrait to further save space. I'm setting this to AWAITING UPDATE until the issues are resolved.

how doe you change weapen or mount to photoshop
I'm not sure that I understand your question. If you want to change elements of model, than you need to use RMS. If you want to change textures of elements, than you need to use cascview to open and extract reforged archives and use photoshop/gimp to rework textures (how to work with PS you can find on youtube).

yeah actually disregard the resizing stuff because they can mess up

instead, those diffuses with no transparencies can be recompressed instead to B1D1 to halven their file sizes; and if all else fails I'll just ask the other mods to re-approve these as I'm no longer a mod

Hello,
For some reason the character appears like this, even though I have imported all the files. Does anyone know what the problem is?

I found the solution. For .DDS files, delete the "war3mapImported" parts of the imported files.

It's the most popular mistake when people impot models into WE and see white models:wink:
A mistake artists have done for a long while, I have always wondered why there is no rule or change about this when it is very easy to add or change paths with notepad or retera's. It would be best to match the game's automatic route upon importing into the editor, that way no need to delete what should already be default.

Unless there is some reforged limitation concerning this of course that I am unaware of.

Edit: I'd like to add that it is very likely artist choice having the path how it is, only retera's loads properly without folder placement after all.

This is so good. Loved it.
Do you have any plans on doing a blood/high elf paladin? I was thinking that building something on top of Thalorien Dawnseeker's model would be cool, using the animations he already has (or using the fixed model that someone uploaded to the hive), and then changing the armor. Something like that. It's just an idea. I'd love to delve into that myself, but I have 0 knowledge on modeling. Anyway, sorry for the yapping, and again, loved your model!

Thank you! I had a lot of idea about what to do, but I don't know, when I will back to warcraft models.

It's not a problem of modellers. It's a game option which blizzard add to game. So this "war3imported" generated by game automaticaly each time when you import new model to editor. And if I add my pathes to my models than I will get comments like "remove all pathes from models so people can use it"

Using custom paths will make the process of creating projects much easier, but people are too lazy to press some extra button. I even had lessons in my group on how to use it for personal convenience. But if the project is intended for the public, then this is a dead idea.

here's a very quick shortcut: save your map as a folder, then open it and simply make a _HD.w3mod folder and paste all downloaded HD stuff there (don't forget to extract everything from all folders though) so you don't have to open the import manager at all
