Why not make a skin, you ask? Dunno, it probably would've been a better idea.

A skin can't enable multiple variations. You can only replace a skin once. When it comes to this, attatchments are better.

There's a second way, to use two skins for the same model, but you need to import the model after slightly changing it, so attachments are better, yes!

(and I guess you do know that there's this way of using two skins for one model, thrikodius )
