[Trigger] Bit sizes..or something

I'm editing a save/load system right now to my likings..and well, theres these like size=xx which = some huge number. Like size=12 which means up to 4095? I don't get the equation that makes up these numbers? Could someone tell me? or on an easier note, just tell me the size=xx number which is closest to 1 million?

I guess what you are asking for is:
2^12 = 4096 (You said 4095 maybe it uses one bit for something)
2^20 = 1048576

If it's signed, it needs to throw away 1 bit, making it 2^0 + 2^1 + 2^2 + 2^3 ... + 2^11

And if it uses n as its size, then the output number is equal to the sum of all powers of 2 from 2^0 to 2^(n-1)
