Better Help with gmax animation

I read the tutorials for gmax, but animation is still very confusing for me. For instance (even though this is a minor detail), bones of imported warcraft models don't look at all like the "skeletons" you sometimes see in the screenshots, they're merely a cloud of grey cubes and crosses.

Also, the first model I ever tried to animate is a building. But instead of using the stand, birth and death animation, it uses the first stage of the brith animation and that's all, even though I selected all bones when exporting and even though I added all three animations to the list in dexport.

Thanks blinkboy, I was expecting something like that, since in "add bone" you can also choose other parts of the model, but I didn't know for sure

anyhow, I have a new question to add: If you modify a WarcraftIII model, how can you know what the names of the intervalls are in the orignial model so you can give the intervalls the right name when exporting the model with dexport? Do you have to find out or is there a list somewhere?
